The European project moses (mobility services for urban sustainability) was the first dedicated European research project on car sharing. With partners from all over Europe, coming from operators, research and authorities, the moses proejct laid the ground for many follow-up projects – but more important: it was a starting point for car sharing services in Belgium, in London and in Italy. The City of Bremen as coordinator presented already some experience and the moses project gave the background to establish car sharing stations (‚mobil.punkt‘) on public street space – another success story of moses.
